Describe a traditional festival in your country. You should say:
- – what it is
- – when it is celebrated
- – how do people usually celebrate it
- – what you like and don’t like about it
Well , the most important festival in Viet Nam I may tell you right away is the Tet holidays, in other words, it’s the Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year which usually falls in early February. The reason why I pick this is that we, Vietnamese, highly appreciate this festival as this is the time for all family members gathering together after a long hard working year. Moving to the point about the meaning of this festival, you know, traditionally, no matter where we live and work, we all have to returnto our hometown or fatherlandto give best wishes too grandparents, parents and siblings and relatives. I may continue with the activities we do on the days, well, we usually repaint the houses and decorate them beautifully. We also cook best traditional foods to serve the whole family and welcome guest.
